BODY TEMPLE VA!
Owner History
I grew up as a young girl living with my dad through much of my adolescence. He did the best he knew how, but like many families, our routines weren’t always healthy. Sundays and Wednesdays meant church—and afterward, grabbing McDonald’s late at night before they closed. At the time, none of us knew better.
What I did know was what it felt like to be uncomfortable in my body at a very young age. I developed early—by age eight—and endured teasing, name-calling, and unwanted attention that did nothing to build confidence. By 19 years old, at 5’2” and 179 pounds, I was struggling physically and emotionally.
My mom introduced me to track, and while my ankles hurt and the journey wasn’t easy, it marked the beginning of my relationship with exercise. I stayed active over the years, had children, joined gyms—but I still didn’t understand the role food and hormones played in my health. I worked harder and harder, yet my body didn’t respond the way I thought it should.
Eventually, I met my husband at the gym, and for the first time, I learned consistency with meals, food preparation, and structure. That season brought tremendous results. I became a true gym rat, loving early mornings and long days built around training. Later, as my body and hormones changed, what used to work stopped working. I pushed harder, ran farther, restricted more—and my body fought back.
It wasn’t until I addressed hormonal health and fully understood how metabolism, stress, recovery, nutrition, and hormones work together that everything changed. Getting on HRT answered questions I had been carrying for years—questions that left me frustrated, discouraged, and unhappy with my body despite “doing everything right.”
That journey led me back to school, where I earned my Master of Science in Exercise Science and Wellness: Nutrition and Wellness. More importantly, it solidified my calling.
I opened my business to help other women who felt stuck, defeated, and confused—women who were doing their best but felt betrayed by their bodies. I am deeply passionate about serving women in my local community and beyond, helping them reclaim strength, confidence, and health without punishment or shame.
Today, my mission is to grow this business remotely, mentor other coaches and trainers who share these values, and create a space where God is put first in all that we do—believing fully that when we align with Him, the rest will follow.
I’m grateful for what God has already done through this work, and I look forward with excitement to all He has yet to reveal.
