Shannon Weinberg“I was struggling with my weight for years and hit my breaking point January 2024 when I was at 209lbs. I was sick with myself and ready to just give up. My turning point came when, one night, I was searching for workout classes near me. I tried the YMCA, went a few times but it became too much because it was 25 minutes away. Who wants to drive that far after work?! Then I found Body Temple VA. Could not believe there was a place for women right in Amelia. I started circuit classes in February 2024 and Personal Training classes in March 2024. My 1st weigh in with Cheryl I was 204lbs. It wasn't easy since I had low to no energy- but having Cheryl and a class of amazing ladies to stay committed to for several workouts each week, I started to see progress! Did I hit some road bump?? Of course I did, especially over the holidays, but Cheryl was there with me- every step of the way. Cheryl provides an encouraging atmosphere and provides the drive, patience, support and understanding. Over the course of a 14 months, I went from 209lbs to 156lbs. Being 43, I never thought I would lose the weight. Not only do I have an amazing Personal Trainer but also met and gained several amazing women who are genuinely supportive and my friends. I am thrilled to continue my journey to reach my goal weight of 140lbs and staying strong as I get older. Last weekend I went to a Brooks and Dunn concert and dressed a little out of my comfort zone- but I actually felt great and looked great! It’s been a long time since I could genuinely say that about myself. Cheryl, there are not enough words to say how thankful and lucky I am to have you and Body Temple in my life.”
